Tutor Group Program

All students engage in the Tutor Group program, from Year 7 through to Year 12. This program gives students the opportunity to: investigate Career options; set personal, study and career goals; pick up study and exam preparation tips; learn about themselves; set out a personal Learning Improvement Plan; learn how to prepare a resume and understand job seeking; and more.

MIPS (Managed Individual Pathways)

All students in years 10 to 12 prepare a Managed Individual Pathways plan. This plan incorporates much of the investigative work undertaken in Tutor Group – goals, career interests, future study plans. Interviews are conducted with every student during the year to ensure that a realistic and achievable pathway plan is in place and that students understand the path they need to follow to achieve their career goals.

Work Experience

In Year 10 students have the opportunity to experience, for two weeks, the world of work. Every effort is made to ensure that this experience is meaningful and valuable to the students, by encouraging and assisting them to find a placement in an industry in which they have shown a genuine interest. Many students are offered employment, (casual, part time or apprenticeships) as a result of Work Experience. Feedback from students, employers, visiting teachers and parents is overwhelmingly positive.
